Setup instructions
After you have installed Trader News Alerts and have it showing on the desktop you will
see that it is prompting you to set the currency and impact options:
To access the settings screen hover the mouse cursor over the Trader News Alerts window. You will notice a
small tool menu appear to the top right of the gadget - the middle button looks like a spanner and you should
click this to change the settings:
The settings are divided into three sections:

Currencies
Tick the currencies for which you want news items displayed.

Impact
Select the impact for which you want the news items displayed (these are taken from
the Forex Factory data feed).

Alert Times
There are three levels of alert and you can set the times around a news item that these will
occur:
- The bar within Trader News Alerts will turn yellow and start expanding at the number of
minutes you set in the 'Early' warning option before the news item occurs.
- The bar will turn a more orange colour when it reaches the numeber of minutes set in the
'Imminent' warning option.
- When the number of minutes set in the 'Critical' before news option is reached the bar will
turn red - and will remain that way until the number of minutes set in the 'Critical' after news
option pass after the news item occurs.
PLEASE NOTE:

After you change the settings and click on "OK" the gadget waits until the time changes to
a new minute before updating the display. This is done to minimize the amount of work your PC has to do
to run this gadget.

When you click the "OK" button after making changes to your settings there will be a slight delay
while Trader News Alerts downloads information from the Forex Factory website - the length of this
delay will depend on time of day, how busy the Forex Factory server is etc...
